Mikao Usui - Kan'ichi Taketomi - Akiko Koyama - Hiroshi Doi - Yumiko Natori

Usui Sensei is the founder and the first president of Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai.  Taketomi Sensei and Koyama Sensei are the third and the sixth Presidents of Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, respectively.

Doi Sensei continues to receive energy directly transmitted from Usui Sensei from Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai Shihans (Masters).

The following four concepts are the basis of Gendai Reikiho:

  Techniques relevant to the healing of the body and mind and spiritual growth are devised after a thorough review of Traditional Reiki Ryoho and Western Reiki techniques.

 Mystery, dogmatism and prejudice are avoided.  Techniques whose effects can be confirmed and felt form the core of Gendai Reikiho.

 Effective techniques that were in line with Usui Sensei’s ideas and aims are adopted.

 Techniques are simplified and standardized so that they can be easily practiced in everyday life.
