Zelgadiss is heading for Marrigan with Lina, Gourry, Ameria, Ulrich, Jessica and Lara. Xelloss appears before them, but Ameria tells him "I love you". He is so frightened to disappear. They begin to reserch about the seven clues they have found in the maesoleum in Sayruun. One of them is the image of twin dragons wound around each other. They couclude that the twin dragons indicate Ulrich and Zhara, half-dragon half-demon twin of Marrigan.
