Zelgadiss and Sylph arrived at the battlefield of Suifeed and Shabranigudo. There they found a huge stone on which old rune were written. They were the ancient runes that they had seen in Lala Sorez's mausoleum in Saillune. If they were actually one of the seven fragment of Zel's cure spell, those runes could be transfered to one of the seven scrolls that Melfinius of Marigan had. Zel tried to contact Melfinius, but he was ineterrupted by a Mazoku who took a form of a beautiful young boy. That Mazoku with no name explained that he couldn't let Zel become human again, because the Mazoku hoped to serve Mazoku lord Zelgadiss. The Mazoku wished that he and Zelgadiss would be together. (I changed my graphic software to make CGs, but it caused me a trouble in coloring the outlines in this illustration...)
