Will Slayers fourth season come out in Japan?
No, there is no official announcement of the Slayers fourth season in Japan for the present. In the end of 1999, Mr. Takashi Watanabe, the director of the three Slayers TV seasons, gave a message about this question in the BBS of his personal homepage, Nekonanbantei. And now, he and his studio are very busy with their new TV anime, TRY-ZENON, that will start from Octorber. This anime isn't the fantasy with magic and sword, but the SF story with three gigantic robots and two boys and one girl. The voice actress for the heroine is Megumi Hayashibara, who did Lina Inverse in Slayers anime.
I am very pleased to know that people still love Slayers. It has passed over one year since the end of Slayers TRY, and I feel it's very honor for me, as a staff of Slayers TV seasons, to recieve a message from a Slayers fan. Now, talking about the new Slayers TV season... I don't want to hint around about this subject. Only I can say now is that nobody has told me about the plan to make the new Slayers TV season for the present. Meanwhile, I'm preparing my new TV anime that will come out in autumn 2000. The graphic will be similar to Slayers TV seasons. I can't reveal the detailed plan here, but I will make it with Ms.Miyata, who designed the characters for Slayers TV seasons. (So, you can see who will be the original designer for the characters. (^o^)) Anyway, I can't say that there is no possibility for the new Slayers TV season. I admit that there once was a detailed rumor about it before summer in 1999. Unfortunately, the rumor was a rumor, but I can feel new Slayers TV season in the air. If the situation slightly changed, we could have the new Slayers or new Lost Universe. Please don't lose your hope(^o^), and don't expect too much.

Does the Japanese Slayers DVD boxset contain English dubbed voice?
In the Japanese DVD boxset of Slayers first season, there is 7 DVDs for 26 episodes of the seasn and an extra DVD that contains the scene fragments from the first episode in 6 different languages. We can see and listen the scene in which Gourry appeared before Lina for the first time and knocked down the bandits, and another scene in which Lina cast a Dragon Slave at the black dragon in Japanese, English, Kwangtunese, Pekinese, Spanish, and Italian. Unfortunately, this DVD has the region code 2, and you need the DVD player that can play the region code 2 to see and listen this DVD.
