Ismail Ali, Tesfa Berhanu and Tefera Warabo (Oromo Community, Ethiopia)
AF Closed: 18 March, 2002
They were released last year after having been arrested and detained allegedly with peacefully expressing their political view. Tesfa Berhanu is now living in Addis Ababa. Tefera Warabo subsequently fled the country and is now living in Norway. Finally, Ismail Ali has returned to Saudi Arabis.

Francisco Mirando Branco
He is an East Timorian, detained in Indonesia for the peaceful expression of his views against the Indonesian Government occupying East Timor released in January 2000.

Thich Tue Sy
He is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, detained in Vietnam for 14 years for the peaceful exercise of his right to freedom of religious belief released in 2 September 1998 (National Day).
