[解説]
St. Louis Cardinals は The Redbirdsとも言われ、メジャー
リーグでBirds といえば、Cardinalsのことを指します。見出しの
Birdsは当然Cardinalsの選手のことです。
さて、"Birds of a feather flock together." は「類は友を呼ぶ」という
意味の諺です。
Cardinalsの３人の強打者が揃ってホームランを放ったことから、
Birdsを使ったこの諺が使われています。
さらに、見出しでは"flock"の代わりに、"sock"となっています。
この"sock"をBaseball Dictionaryでチェックしてみましょう。
