　Brewers のBen Sheets投手が Yankees打線を７回２安打と"叩きのめ
　した。"　「to clock 〜」は通常、打者が主語で使われますが（例えば、
　He clocked a home run.のように）、投手が主語で使われれば、その
　投手が攻撃的に相手打線をやっつけたというニュアンスが出ます。
　わざわざこの動詞を使ったのは、あの時計台、Big Benと同じ名前を持
　つ Ben Sheetsが時を刻む(clocks)ように、Yankeesをやっつけた
　（He clocked the Yanks）という言葉遊びです。
