Kristin Newton has been my friend and colleague for over ten years now. I have every
confidence in her ability to carry out my work in Japan and Asia with complete integrity
and expertise. She is a hard worker, well-organized, works very well with people, and is
an excellent teacher and artist. She was instrumental in organizing my two trips to Japan
in 1990 and 1993. She assisted in, and taught, a number of my workshops as part of the
teaching team, both in the U.S. and in Japan. I then recommended that she start teaching
the workshops herself in Tokyo. Kristin keeps in close touch with me to review and discuss
her work, thus insuring that the workshops and teaching methods are always up-to-date.
Under her direction, students in Tokyo are making the maximum progress in their drawing
