| Puzzle and I |

| Probably in 1983, The trick puzzle named "Die" which Mr. A. Kamei
made appeared on the magazine. I had interest in the person who made a
mechanism in the specialty. That becomes an opportunity, and I began to be absorbed in the puzzle. I think that the fields of the interest increased by knowing "the mechanism" of Mr. A. Kamei. As for the beginning, I was collecting only "karakuri box" and "secret box" as collector. Interest as my collection was the wooden goods of the handicrafts. I wasn't so interested in the puzzle itself because of that. Gradually, I had interest in the craft puzzle itself. At last, not only I collected puzzles but also I came to create a puzzle by myself. My "Segment Burr" was evaluated by a many puzzle collection people. Therefore, I could have confidence to creating a puzzle. I passed with thanks for six years after I began to create a puzzle. I could create "burr puzzle" and "interlocking cube" and " interlocking box". The puzzle which I created increased in forty kinds. At present, my puzzle is being made in the special way of making it. This way of making it is named "Yahara-zaiku". "Yahara-zaiku" is meaning to say as "the work thing made in the yahara area". I will keep continuing this way of making it for a while. (2003.08) |
