My town is situated on the middle eastern
part of Osaka prefecture . Its name
is Onji ,Yao city.The name was taken after
Onji Mitukazu , samurai warrior in the
middle ages . He was one of eight regents
of Kusunoki Masasige who supported
Emperor Godaigo in the South Dynasty . To
my surprize he was related to my
ascendant . I found the fact in a book ,
series of Asai Mituhiko written by Uchida
Yasuo . He fought with my ascendant at Minatogawa
in Kobe city , Hyogo
Prefecture . It is a mystery ,indeed .
By the way , a river called Tamakusi -gawa
runs through my town . Several hundred cherry
trees along the river are
beyond description when they are in the full
bloom . So it is selected as one of
100 sights in Osaka .Neighbors enjoy cherry
blossom viewing while sitting at the
tea room or taking a bath in a spa .
