| 912 type diesel hydraulic locomotives were remodeled from DD13 type diesel locomotives in order to use the track maintenance train or shunt vehicles the maintenance depots. Bogies were changed into DT8000 for the standard gauge although the original body, original traction engines, and original hydraulic transmission gears were just used. 912 type diesel locomotives use automatic coupler and tight lock coupler together. The picture shows -60 sub-type, which double-header cooperative operation is available, to rescue the train stood in the Shin-Kanmon undersea tunnel. |
