ENTER THE

LOCATION:

  • North-western part of Costa Rica.
  • Foothill of the Orosi Volcano.

ACCESS:

  • By bus from San Jose to Liberia.
  • By bus or taxi from Liberia.

ACCOMMODATION:

  • There is only one lodge (Los Inocentes) beside the Park.
  • There are some biological stations in the park.
  • There are some hotels in Liberia.

BIRDS:

  • There are a lot of birds around the Park, but it is very difficult to observe birds in the Park. The forest is too dense to observe birds.
  • Some of the birds spieces are unique, for example, Yellow-naped Parrot, White-fronted Parrot, Orange-fronted Parakeet, Elegant Trogon, Black-headed Trogon, Turquoise-browed Motmot, Hoffmann's Woodpecker, Long-tailed Manakin, White-throated Magpie-Jay, etc...

MAMMALS:

  • Mantled Howler Monkey and Central American Spider Monkey are very common in this park.
  • Sometimes observed White-tailed Deer.
