THE KING'S LINKS
E: English site J: Japanese site E/J: Both available O: Other language
"English-speaking" here means a "fluent" speaker.
Why we list up other hospitals and clinics on this page.
We believe that all patients have the right to choose their doctor by their own individual taste; may it be the specialty, human characteristics and relations, location, charges, insurance policies, recommendations or others.
THE KING CLINIC is proud to announce that we are providing one of the best medical service available from a private clinic (in the community). We do have the confidence in our practice, but always struggling to reach a higher level of patient-clinic relationship and service through our daily practice.
Thanks to everyone, we are sure that most of the visitors satisfy with what we provide. However, it is a fact that some patients may have better matching with other clinics/hospitals because of the access, service charge (some are higher, by them not accepting JPN insurance, and most Japanese local clinics are lower, but with language and cultural barriers), office hours, or just by personal likes or dislikes about the doctor. Therefore, even with our best effort and studies, I agree that some patients fit better to other doctors and vice versa.
WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS WEBSITE AND THE KING CLINIC WILL NOT OFFER TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND CONTACTS OF THE LISTED. PLEASE CHECK THE YELLOW PAGES OR CONTINUE YOUR SEARCH.
HUMANITY and Decent Bedside-Manners
This link / list is to support all English-speaking residents and travellers in Japan under this motto. Giving equal chance to find the "right" matching with the doctor. At the same time, we believe that clinics and hospitals should better not dominate certain group of people, for the same reason. Let us give all patients the chance to establish the best matching with the doctors... for better and comfortable life in Japan.
Hoping that everyone could reach a certain quality in their life, or at least not happening to leave bad memories of Japan due to unpleasant medical experiences. The open information source provided by the medical provider in the community may play a role in this dream.
LANGUAGE BARRIER is not the only OBSTRUCTION
Some of you may have noticed that many medical institutions and clinics that claim to be "fluent in English" may not always be true. On the other hand, you may encounter many wonderful English speaking doctors...but not quite satisfying. Being able to speak English fluently is not quite enough to handle your medical concerns. The doctor must be able to communicate while understanding your cultural background, or better if he/she has a similar "mind" that you do. This list (may sound radical to some readers) is also designed to clarify the essential point. Since we have not yet confirmed (or even tried to) posting some individual doctor's name from the general hospitals, we have refrained from doing so for now. Please excuse us for this point.

THE KING CLINIC ...is the clinic that has been serving the international community in Japan for more than 50 years. The son, Leo King, taking over his father's clinic in 1998, has assured and satisfied the expat community in Japan. If you have the Japanese National Health Insurance, the sentence, "English-Speaking physicians and medical facilities that cater to Americans' expectations are expensive" is not true. You will find out more about THE KING CLINIC...HERE. |
