Art
Here are Christian arts. The artists are striving for creative activities wholeheartedly and increasingly also in Heaven, and every Christian can enjoy their arts in the Paradise. The wonderfulness of them transcends all the expressions on the earth.
Icons, Accessaries, Sculptures
The icons are not for art.
The Christianian exhibitions of the Byzantine period in Athens. The place is a right hand in the middle of the main street which progresses to Hilton Hotel from Syntagma Square. The reliefs of the initial Christianity of the 3rd-5th centuries and the icons from 13th century to the modern times ares substantial, which are must for those who are interested in the Byzantine Church.
It is a merit of this museum that the ancient icons can be watched closely. Speaking of Greece, the Olympian faith of Zeus, Apollo, etc. comes to mind, but it is a Christian country which makes Greek Orthodoxy the state religion. The tradition of Christianity has already lasted for 2 millennia, and it is about to get more than the tradition of paganism.
The part of an ancient church buildings weather-beaten in a corner of the garden. Since it is marble, it has melted into acid rain. Such a thing is over 1 million dallar.
The legend of King Arthur is real?
It likely to have at least a half of archaeological discoveries in the world. There might also be Khufu's mummy and treasures in the underground warehouse which can survive nuclear attacks. The exhibition will be a corner of the iceberg. Embarrassingly the restaurant and the cafe are expensive and unsavory although the admission fee is free and good. Do not forget a meal before enter and not leave a pet bottle. When you buy a guidebook, you had better read it in the library.
Speaking of Britain, it is King Arthur's legend, but there is no archaeologically materials. British people had held Celtic culture first, then Roman people and Germanic (Anglo-Saxon) people came as the aggressor there, and they got half-blooded. When the Roman Empire was Christianized in the 4th century, Christianity drove out Celtic faith (Druidicism) also in Britain. Supposedly King Arthur was a person from the end of the 5th century to the beginning of the 6th, and he was a Briton who mixed blood with the Roman.
As the indispensable essences for a legend to be handed down from generation to generation, there are love, faith, battle, betrayal, tragic end, and reconciliation. It is just a typical legend : although King Arthur resisted and defeated the barbarous aggressors as a eager Christian, since he committed adultery, he was betrayed by the subordinate whom he was putting trust, the dearest wife, and even the son, and he burned with revenge, but the last he repented his sin and asked pardon to Jesus Christ, then quietly he left world. Probably, King Arthur's remains have been erased, since Anglo-Saxon people grasped hegemony and embraced Christianity after the 6th century.
Incidentally, Britain is a clear Christian country which makes Anglican the state religion. Separation of religion and politics is not a system indispensable for the freedom of faith to be secured. The Harness in the Heptarchy period. Fusion of Celtic peculiar patterns and Christianian Cross is seen.
The Venus of Milo is virgin!?
This might hold more 30% of the arts in the world. Isn't it more significant to see and turn around other works, when you have to stand for the "Mona Lisa", although you tend to be fascinated by Leonard's masterpiece? That is, there are many other outstanding works.
Speaking of Louvre, "Venus" is ranked in a line with Mona Lisa. Although called "Venus", it is much more possible that it might be Diana (Artemis) or a nymph who is virgin God. The Virgin God was liked better than Venus (Aphrodite) after the Hellenistic period. Its looks are from a Hellenic woman of Sparta (idealized Hellenic beauty), and the dignity which do not allow men to come near is emphasized rather than the sex appeal. Although seemingly many people do not see the sight of its back, it is a pretty excellent backshine. A beautie is cutie also from the back not only the front. This is "A beauty has no both sides".
Incidentally, it is built so that it may look most beautifully from this angle (30 diagonal below). Because it is thought that this statue was usually put on the position a little higher than the eye level.
What are the lost both arms going to do? Supposing it is a Virgin God like Diana (Artemis), it is natural to think that it may show the moment of shooting an arrow. It was presupposed that Diana was diligent in hunting in fields and mountains. That is, it might be holding a bow with the left hand and supporting an arrow with the right hand. The body is spirally twisted, but it is not impossible for thinking that deformation was performed in order to give priority to the grace of appearance in the Hellenistic sculptures.
The Golden Ratio of the Vital Statistics
When considering the ideal figure, in the tradition from the Renaissance we use the golden ratio as a basis. In the human body, da Vinci did so. But it seems that the thought that the golden ratio is omnipotent has come to believed seriously from the Baroque term. The artists of the Renaissance did not necessarily control all things by the golden ratio.
However, in the Modern age it became clear that the Conservation Law of Energy is materialized in the space. Since the golden ratio is the limit of the ratios of the additive sequential terms, it appears very frequently also in the nature. So nowadays as for the natural beauty, it is physically persuasive to make the golden ratio into the ideal. Therefore, it will be rational that the vital statistics used as the basis of the physical beauty also make the golden ratio the ideal.
However, we must be careful. After all, it is an individual subjective problem whether you sense that the golden ratio is beautiful. Even if it is beautiful objectively, it is not necessarily subjectively beautiful too. That is, since human sensitivity is ambiguous and different, we do not receive every thing similarly. Therefore, the versatility of civilization and culture is made. And in appreciating arts it is always important to distinguish the subjectivity and the objectivity.
The formula of the ideal vital statistics is as follows.
height : bust : waist : hips = phi : 1 : phi-1 : 1 (phi=(root5+1)/2 )
When this is made into the figure in condition, it is as follows (unit:cm).
height : bust : waist : hips =
140.0 : 86.5 : 53.5 : 86.5
145.0 : 89.6 : 55.4 : 89.6
150.0 : 92.7 : 57.3 : 92.7
155.0 : 95.8 : 59.2 : 95.8
160.0 : 98.9 : 61.1 : 98.9
165.0 : 102.0 : 63.0 : 102.0
170.0 : 105.1 : 64.9 : 105.1
175.0 : 108.2 : 66.8 : 108.2
180.0 : 111.2 : 68.8 : 111.2
185:0 : 114.3 : 70.7 : 114.3
190.0 : 117.4 : 72.6 : 117.4
In the case of the male, we can apply the formula as it is satisfactorily.
However, in the case of the female, we face the problem how we measure the breasts.
According to these sizes, they are pretty huge tits.
Some like them and some do not.
Adding to this, we can apply the golden ratio on the relation between the height and the length of the legs. In this case, probably, the legs are good to be divided at the top of the pelvis or the navel. Although it differs medically, as common sense about the physical appearance, this is adequate. That is, the length from the sole to the navel should be just equal to the size of the bust or hips to the height. This will be helpful on wearing the heels.
This ratio is hard to be got automatically. It is not easy to pursue the physical beauty. It will be necessary from the childhood to the growing phase to take in many dairy products such as the yogurt and the cheese. Moreover, probably, it will be unmaintainable if we do not train ourselves by sport or exercise also after becoming an adult. After all, we have to say that the physical beauty tends to be the artificial beauty.
