We would like to announce the start of the fundraising drive and application period for the 2009 Jason Choy Memorial Scholarship!
This June the fourth annual JCMS scholarship will be awarded to an ERHS senior that reflects Jason's spirit and values. Thanks to the generosity of all our donors, we are happy to announce that this year the prize has been increased to $1500. As before, applicants will be judged on their response to two essay questions tailored to reflect Jason's sense of humor and his interests in the sciences and social issues.
Again and as always, we would like to thank everyone who has donated or otherwise helped this scholarship along. Your generosity and support continues to overwhelm us. For those of you new to this website who would like to learn more about the scholarship, you can navigate from the left to find information. And if you haven't already, please do take a moment to read the profiles of last year's and past winners.
Finally, if you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, you can click here to go directly to the collections page. And then let's not forget the students; for those of you applying for the 2009 JCMS, applications can be found here.
Through this scholarship, it has always been our goal to extend Jason's positive effect on the world. In times like these – with the world in such need of just that - we can think of no better way than to help a high school student along his or her path to higher education. We sincerely thank everyone that has helped to make this scholarship possible and we hope that you are as excited as we are about finding this year's recipient of the Jason Choy Memorial Scholarship.
Take care and please do keep in touch.
Sincerely,
The JCMS Committee
