The "HOKKAIDO and EAST JAPAN PASS"(北海道＆東日本パス) is a cheap
and flexible free ticket.
For 5 continuous days, you can get on the rocal train, rapid train, and
express train "Hamanasu" many times. The usage is as follows.

The non-reserved seat of local train, rapid train, special rapid train, commuting rapid train,
and semi rapid train. |

This ticket can get on the non-reserved seat of the express train "Hamanasu".(From Aomori to Sapporo)
Keep in mind that it cannot get on the other seats. |

The reservation ticket is separately necessary when sitting on the reserved
seat of the rocal train or the rapid train. Please buy the ticket in the
JR ticket window etc. |

The non-reservation GREEN CAR ticket is separately necessary when sitting
on the non-reserved GREEN CAR seat of the rocal train or the rapid train.
Please buy the ticket in the JR ticket window etc. |

The "home liner ticket" is separately necessary when getting on the "home liner" train. Please buy the ticket in the JR ticket window etc. |

When you get on the non-reserved seat of the limited express train from
Hakodate to Aomori, the unreserved seat limited express ticket is separately
necessary. However, when you get on the non-reserved seat of the limited
express train from Kanita to Kikonai, the non-reserved seat limited express
ticket is unnecessary. |

Since the local train is not operated between Kanita and Kikonai in Tsugarukaikyo
Line, and between Shinyubari and Shintoku in Sekisho Line, you can get
on the non-reserved seat of a limited express. |

| The "Santetsu ichinichi-tokuwari free pass" of the Sanriku railway can be bought. This ticket is sold at Kuji Station, Miyako Station, Kamaishi
