PRE/POSTDOCS IN ADAPTIVE DECISION MAKING--The Center for Adaptive Behavior and Cognition at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany, is seeking applicants for 2 one-year Predoctoral Fellowships (tax-free stipend DM 21,600) and 2 two-year Postdoctoral Fellowships (tax-free stipend DM 43,200) beginning September 1, 2001. Candidates should be interested in studying bounded, social, and ecological rationality in real-world domains, and should have expertise in any of the following or related areas: judgment and decision making, evolutionary psychology or biology, cognitive anthropology, experimental economics or psychology, statistical inference and model selection, artificial intelligence, environment structure, social reasoning. The Center provides excellent resources including staff and equipment support for conducting experiments and computer simulations and travel support for conferences.
