VICE
When clamping a work-piece by using two plates with a conventional vice, we bang the top of the work piece with a small hammer in order to have the work piece fit in the vice. However, after that, the plates under the work piece moved easily. One day, I found the work piece floating when it was clamped with the vice. I was understood that this phenomenon ruined the accuracy of the work piece.

As a transitory measure, adjust/tighten the movement of the vice, however it fundamentally appear with the conventional type vice. I suppose that it is impossible to avoid lifting the work piece with a conventional type vice.

Then I found that there is a un-floating type vice, and its construction isn't so complicate, so I made the following one.

Then I found that there is a un-floating type vice. The mechanism isn't complicated, so I made the following one.

This is made of the mild steel.

The size is 60mm width, 130mm long, 50mm high, max clamping width is 75mm.
