The Japanese Ministry of Postal Service announced that usable division of modes and frequency for amateur radio transmission will be revised from 1'st April 1997.The details of band plan by government and the SSTV Operating Guide Line by JASTA are showed in following table.
SSTV operating guide line is not restrainted by law, but JASTA established this guide independently to avoid QRM with another modes of transmission.

The table of band plan and usable frequency for SSTV

Remarkable : the colored letters in the table have following meanings.
*SSTV operating frequency by SSB mode
*SSTV operating frequency by SSB or FM mode
*SSTV operating frequency by FM mode
*Satellite operating frequency

*Remarkable
1. For operation mode (1), the occupied bandwidth is below 6 kHz.(but for A4,A5J,A9C,F4 and F5 modes below 3kHz.)
2. For operation frequency (2), Radio teletype (RTTY) and Data transmission are excluded.
3. For frequency (3),the operation of RTTY and Data transmission to the amateur station of foreign country using the frequency between 7,030kHz and 7,045kHz are permitted in spite of the regulation 2.
4. For frequency (4), RTTY and Data transmission are limited between 14,100kHz and 14,112kHz.
5. Frequency (5) is used for RTTY and Data transmission only.
6. Frequency (6) is used for the transmission of the occupied bandwidth over 6kHz only.
7. For frequency (7), in case of the transmission to the amateur station of foreign country using the frequency from 29MHz to 29.3MHz and from 51MHz to 51.5MHz, we can use the transmission modes that occupied bandwidth below 6kHz in spite of regulation 6.
8. Frequency (8) is used for satellite communication only.
9. Frequency (9) is used for the transmission to the JARL's Repeater only. But we can use the frequency from 29.5MHz to 29.59MHz and from 29.61MHz to 29.7MHz for communication with over sea amateur's repeater.
10. Modes and frequency (10) is used for the communication to the over sea amateur radio station only.
11. For frequency (11), RTTY and Data transmission are limited between 50.9MHz to 51.0MHz.
12. Frequency (12) is used for the EME communication only.
13. For frequency (13), we can use the frequency between 144.02MHz to 144.035MHz for EME communication too. In this case, the bandwidth of transmission must be below 6kHz.
14. For frequency (14), RTTY and Data transmission are limited between 144.40MHz to 144.50MHz.
15. For frequency (15), RTTY and Data transmission are limited between 430.70MHz to 430.80MHz.
16. Frequency (16) is used for TV transmission only.
17. Frequency (17) is used for CW transmission only.
18. Frequency (18) is used for Beacon signal transmission only.
19. Rest is omitted
