1. Annual MeetingJune every year
2. Regular Meetings4-5 times/year
Seminars inviting various speakers and study visits to factories and construction sites are organized. In 2000 and 2001, the regular meetings are planned under the theme "Globalization and Women Engineers and Scientists".
3. GroupsIn addition to the regular meetings, JWEF members can participate in the following group activities.
  • Public Relations Group is responsible for issuance of newsletters (titled "JWEF News") and other activities related to public relations.
  • Study Group has been conducting a series of studies related to the working environment and life style of women engineers and scientists.
  • Way of Life" Group organizes small meetings to intensively discuss how to live as an engineer/scientist, mother, wife, daughter, etc.
  • International Exchange Group is establishing networks with and providing various information to foreign organizations.
  • Home Page Working Group is in charge of creating and maintaining JWEF's home page.
4. Others
  • March 1997: Symposium for high school girls titled "Let's have a wider view on women's professions - Science and engineering is attractive course for women to choose"
  • February 1999: Symposium for children and parents titled "Kids learn how to think through enjoying science classes"
  • July 1999: "11th International Conference for Women Engineers and Scientists (ICWES 11)" held in Japan (co-sponsor)
  • March 2001: Symposium titled "Globalization and Women" (co-sponsor)
