" History of Number of Dead Bodies, Nanking Massacre"
When we want to know the truth in old days ,it is best to investigate the document published in those days.
Prof. Higasinakano of the Asia University in Japan have done this work completely. Let's study his works.
1. Before the Start of WW2 (----- Aug.15,1945 )
Undeniable fact is :
1. There were 20,000 to 40,000 of dead soldier's corpse.
2. There were execution of 1 or 2 thousands of guerrillas (ex-soldiers ).....
........... but this was necessary to self-defense for Japanese soldiers and legal for international law.
3. There were Chinese soldier groups who pour groundless rumors. And many evil rumors were made and poured.
4. There were enemy foreign men and journalists who knew well that execution of guerilla is legal.
... These foreign people wrote nothing about Massacre in the formal documents.

5. There were many dead bodies killed by Chinese themselves, but these foreign journalist wrote as if all dead bodies were killed by Japanese army and the description escalated more and more in their article, private books and diaries.
6. The number of murder was at first 20,000 by evil rumor, then increased to 40,000 utilizing the buried corpse data by the Red Swastika Society (but, of course, these are killed in the normal war)
7. Prof. Miner Searle Bates made a groundless estimation that 30% of dead bodies are civilian (he believed Chinese evil rumor).
8. These evil rumors introduced to the world by many writers.
But the truth was remaining
9. But Chinese formal documents has never adopted the number of evil rumor, although they adopted the foreign journalist's description of cruel scene.
10. Until 1940, nobody in the world insisted that execution of guerilla by Japanese army had violated international law.

2. Between the WW2 (Dec. 8, 1946 to Aug. 15, 1945)
1. Edgar Snow published "The Battle for Asia" in 1941. He wrote in this book [ By the estimation of the Nanking International Committee, Japanese army killed at least 42,000 and almost all of them were women and children ]
Really, 40,000 slaughter was the opinion of foreign people living in Nanking, but the member of Nanking International Committee never insisted 30,000 civilian slaughter formally, they thought in mind 12,000 civilian slaughter and 30.000 soldiers murder. Edgar Snow changed to reverse the ratio of civilian and soldiers. Snow distributed this evil propaganda to European people who is ignorant about Asia.
2. Agnes Smedley, a female journalist of America wrote [ Japanese army slaughtered 200,000 ] in 1943.
She expanded the slaughter 5 times.
3.. After the End of WW2 (Aug.15,1945 ----- )
1. In 1945, Dec. 8 to 17
Special article was presented by GHQ named "History of Pacific War : the Fall of truthless Military Japan.: Presented by GHQ" to the main newspaper company in Japan. And the article was published on main newspapers in japan for 10 days.
It was written "Japan has done horrible atrocities most evil in the history of modern world. It is sure by the testimony that Japan had slaughtered 20,000 of men, women, children...
This article was changed into a book and published, but the description was quite same.
2. The Tokyo Trial was opened from May, 3, 1946 and July, 29, Prof. Bates of the Nanking University testifyed,
"------- 30,000 of Chinese soldiers, and 12,000 of civilian (men, women, children) was killed by Japanese soldiers.
3. Chief Prosecutor Joseph B. Keenan stated " Cruelly killed POW, civilian, women, children of few ten thousands ----"
4. February 1946, A Report "Investigation of Enemy's Crime in Nanking" was presented to the court.
This report confessed "When we met and explained the object of investigation to Nanking people for the first time, they were amazed much, and became dumned as cicada in the winter.----
The number of Chinese who accuse Japanese soldier's atrocity were very small.., somebody even denied the Massacre.""
So investigator visited their home one by one many times, and made the report...
China insisted " Fixed number of sufferers are
320,000, and it remains over 200,000 sufferers whose evidence is incomplete " ...... Refer to Evidence: Fake of Record of Dead Bodies.
[ But, Burying dead bodies were finished by Japanese special organization and the Red Swastika Society, and the result were 40,000. They neglected these fundamental fact!!! ]
5. Thus, the number of dead bodies when they sentenced was spread on each criminal, 260 thousands to 300 thousands / few ten thousands / over 200,000 /over 100,000.
The number of the deads was not important for the judges, they wanted only to execute.
6. There is a book [ Reference book for history teacher in secondary school ]. Which was published from Shanghai Educational Publishing Co........................ Looking at the chronological table in this book, we cannot find [Nanking Massacre]. There is a description only that [ Japanese army occupied Shanghai, nationalist government Moved to Jukei ].
This description is quite different from the description [Chiang Kai-shek was staying in Nanking in 1927 and built up anti-revolution government. They slaughtered the member of communist party and revolutionary people]
Did they have the idea of Nanking Massacre ??
There is also a book [New edition : History of China ] which was published by REIKI publishing Co. in Hongkong from 1972 to 1975.
In main story, it is written [ Nanking was fallen Dec, 13. At the same time Battle fields in the north china were often experiencing fierce and miserable defeats ] ...........It is written in the chronological table that [ Nationalist government was moved to JUKEI ,failed to defense Nanking ]
Did they have the idea of Nanking Massacre??
If they had some recognition of Nanking Massacre, they would write it.
7. It was from the appearance of Deng Xiaoping (Tou Syou-hei 
), ex-head of China that they insisted the Nanking Massacre.
Deng Xiaoping returned to vice head of china in 1977, then he became the Red emperor in Dec. 1978.
And Nanking Massacre appeared first in the text book [History of China] in July 1979.
Then the Nanking Massacre Memorial Hall was built from 1985.
