One month has passed since the rice plants
are transplanted to the paddy. Water in the
paddy is so pure that tadpoles are swimming. |
 |
|
 |
Their webs stir water in the paddy for all
the time and this helps the rice grows strong.
Their droppings act as fertilizer.
Ducks bring us challenges and worries every
day. They are the target of attacks by wild
dogs, foxes, weasels or crows. They (of course)
are not aware of this fact and sometimes
they run away from the paddy. |

In July, ears of rice are beginning to be
formed. This is the picture of a rice flower.
Rice flowers bloom for only two hours in
the morning.
Early summer is an important pollination
season. Decrease in temperature and strong
wind in this season may affect the growth
of rice. |

Two months have passed since the ducks are
released into the paddy. Thanks to nice food,
they have grown up so big. |

 |
We take the ducks out of the paddy to prevent
them from eating rice because rice is one
of their favorite food. |
