This is a list of some of the many works by Buddhist scholar Kodo Matsunami, translated into English especially for non-Japanese.
 The world today is one of unending turmoil―terrorist attacks, unending conflict, political deadlock, limping economies. The author fervently hopes that through his books, people all over the world living in these troubled times will learn more about Buddhism and find something as hints and ideas for living better lives.
 Books in English by Kodo Matsunami are available in two series: the“Essentials of Buddhism”series, which aims to impart basic knowledge about Buddhism, and the“Buddhist Way of Life”series, which shows how Buddhist teachings can be applied to daily life.  About Mr.Kodo Matsunami
Born in Tochigi Prefecture in 1933, Kodo Matsunami graduated from the Taisho University, in Japan, then took a Master of Arts degree at Harvard University. At present, in addition to being head priest at his own Jodo Buddhist temple Kinryu-ji in the city of Tochigi, he is a professor at the Ueno Gakuen University Faculty of International Cultural Studies, director of the World Buddhist University in Bangkok, and International Committee Chairperson of the Japan Buddhist Federation. In 1999, he was awarded a Medal with Blue Ribbon.
 In the past several years, putting his scholarly erudition and great experience to good use, he has been industriously writing general, easy-to-read books that enable ordinary people at home and abroad to understand Buddhist views, way of living, history, evolution and teachings. His many works appear in Japanese, in English, as well as in Chinese.
