I write to you after a long time, Dr. Yu.
Thank you for keeping your eyes wide open for us, students all the time. You said to me, gYou look so fine,h the other day. I have never had a fit of my eye disease since then. As you advised me, I practice such methods as the one to activate our mind and brain, the one to recover our eyesight and the one to relieve our stiff neck (all of them are symptomatic methods included in the Tong Hui Gong system). And right after finishing them, I practice T. H. Zhi Gong for thirty to forty minutes every day. Just one month has passed since then. When I am practicing those methods I often fall asleep, but I usually take it easy saying to myself, heverything is just fine as it is.h
My eye doctor stated positively to me, hyou will be taken with a fit again someday.h However, I am pushing myself into practicing Qigong, answering back to my eye doctor secretly, geven if you say so, I wonft !h
After practicing Qigong, my cold feet are always warmed up comfortably and my eyes and my head become entirely refreshed. I become thoroughly invigorated. What I like most among those movements are the one to clap on and rub my head and the one to turn my neck. It is not until I finish those movements that my brain cells become awakened. Whenever I turn my neck clockwise, the left scruff of my neck aches. When I touch the affected area with my fingertip, the pain instantly vanishes and I can turn my neck very smoothly, but when I take off my fingertip of that area that pain comes back again all at once I wonder if such a movement might bring about side effects to me. Please tell me about this, Dr. Yu.
I will complete the lessons for the third grade of the primary course this month. I entirely owe it to Dr. Yu, the good staffs of the IQA, nice friends and my family that I could come this far. From now on too, I am going to go to the IQA head office to practice T. H. Ping Mi Gong together with many friends.
One day at the end of my third year, I became aware of the fact that a part of Dr. Yufs Dantien (the center of the body) was shining yellow widely just like the belly-warmer tie of Tora-san (the famous hero in the Japanese entertainment film,h Itfs Tough Being a Manh). Not only his Dantien but his both hands were wrapped with beams. As he moved his hands up and down, the beams were tagging around with them. When he took in Qi to Dantien, the beams became deeper in color. Last week I saw another person just looking like Dr. Yu himself standing behind his back. I could not identify this personfs face, but he was standing as if he had been pushed backward in parallel with Dr. Yu. It was only for a moment, but I was very glad to have seen it.
That is all concerned with the changes in my eye and body, but what made me most pleased is a change in my inner life. Some new feelings seem to have come out into the open inside me, I guess. How do you interpret this, Dr. Yu? It goes like this. I get up every morning feeling a thrill of pleasure and say to myself, ganother day starts now, what shall I do? Let me place great importance on today, because I am here as I was safe and sound yesterday.h It is almost unbelievable that I should get such a feeling. Furthermore, I became able to forgive others including those who antagonize me. I am not doing so only in theory, but from the bottom of my heart, I can admit others. Even when they are older than I, I am inclined to hold them in my arms smiling and say, "Take it easy, dearh as if I were their mother. I am surprised at how much I have changed. I wonder what on earth happened to me.
By the way, one day about a month after I first experienced Tong Hui Gong, I was watching my shadow in a mirror. Suddenly I felt something in the mirror beckon me tenderly whispering, gI am in your body and came up this high, so you should grow up early too.h I will not dwell on it so much. However, I suppose that what made me much more generous with others might be the same thing as the thing in the mirror. Both of them were kindly showing me the way to something supreme, I imagine.
I am going to devote myself to practicing more Tong Hui Gong and to making a search for happiness every day. Would you please support me as you did, Dr. Yu, friends and others?

Answer from Dr. Yu
I read your letter.
It is really nice for you to have had a marvelous experiences both physically and mentally through your own efforts. I am very happy to get many reports coming from IQA members one after another saying that diseases which are generally considered to be intractable in modern medicine were cured by practicing Tong Hui Gong. The pain on the scruff of your neck you had while turning your head was due to a deformation in your cervical vertebrae, I believe. Qigong practice activates your Qi flow, and attacks the seat of disease, promoting Qi flow there. On those occasions, some phenomena like pains often come out as you experienced. They are due to Qigongfs effects on disease. As you continue practicing Qigong, those pains wear off little and little, and the deformation in your cervical vertebrae will possibly be restored to its former state. There were many successful cases among the students, so please practice Tong Hui Gong hard to overcome your neck trouble. There is nothing wrong with your touching the scruff of your neck with your finger.
And as you continue practicing Qigong, your Dantien and mingmen (the source of Yan Qi) will be fulfilled with Qi and they will shine someday. What you have seen in my Dantien is simply that phenomenon.
In fact, all living things, including human beings, emit extremely faint light. The more you increase Qi in your body through Qigong practice, the clearer the light becomes. This fact was proven in the experiment that I conducted with Fumio Inaba, professor at Tohoku University. If you continue practicing Tong Hui Gong eagerly, your Dantien (energy center in the body )will also shine in due course. Your continuous effort will help you achieve more and more wonderful results.
Sincerely yours,
Yu Yong Chang
