会議でも言い続けているように、オーストラリア兵士の戦争日記の翻訳出版をぜひ実現すべきだ。編集者の出版許可もとってあるし、何より今のようにきな臭い時期、第二次大戦の経験を振り返ることは実に意義深い。旧日本兵の体験記は山のようにあるが、当時敵側にいた兵士たちがどんな体験をしたかは、日本側はもちろん当時の連合国側の人々にさえほとんど知られていないのだから、これは疑いなく絶対出版すべき企画である! As I repeatedly suggested in the meetings, we should translate and publish the diaries of an Australian soldier in the Second World War. These have already been published in English, and I have succeeded in getting permission to publish in Japanese. This seems to me a good time to take a look at the war experience, not only of the Japanese people, but also of the people on the other side. There are many books on the experience of Japanese soldiers but books about the experience of Allied soldiers are hardly known by the Japanese people. Publishing the war diaries of the Australian soldier is a worthy project for this firm. |

加増さんて意外と子供っぽいんだな。確かにカウント伯爵も数字が好きだから加増さんの気に入るのはわかるけど、そんなの売れるわけないじゃん。 だからぁ、僕の企画はぁ、中学生の女の子の純愛物語です!スポ根の要素もあるし、何度も言うとおり絶対当たるって。泣けるもの。 Ms. Kazou is more childish than I thought. Certainly she loves to count everything just like the SESAME STREET character, but what a boring book. It could never be a best seller. It would not even be a good seller. I would like to see us publish a pure love story of a junior high school girl. I find the thought of the pure love of a very young girl quite moving. To broaden its appeal, the story could also have elements of athletic competition. |

I'm sure advertisers would leap at the chance to place ads that will last as long as the book does, unlike their ads in newspapers, magazines, and TV which have a very short life.
