Srabani, an artiste of rare individuality, has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of Kathak dance. She was trained by Smt. Sreelekha Mukherjee and Pandit Om Prakash Maharaj ji and presently she is taking advanced training under great exponent of Kathak, Pandit Vijay Shankar ji. Through the years with creative temperament, Srabani has developed an accomplished individual style, combining technical brilliance with delicate grace of Lucknow gharana. Srabani is the founder-director of Sura Nirjharini, a reputed music and dance school of Kolkata. She is an examiner of Sarba Bharatiya Sangeet and Sanskriti Parishad.

Born in Kolkata, India, in1959. He got tabla training from Pt. Kanai Dutta and Pt.Anil Ray Chauduri. He has performed both solo and as a accompanist at many occasions in India, Japan, Bangladesh etc.
He accompanies not only north Indian classical music but also semi-classical vocals like Ghazal and Thumri. He has joined tours with great Ghazal singers including Ghulam Ali and Hari Haran.
He plays on All India Radio. He has joined the album, Reflections on Sageet, released in 2008.
1959年コルカタ生まれ。故Pt.カナイ・ドット、Pt.アニル・ロイ・チョウドリー氏に師事。ラハラ・ソロ、古典楽器・声楽、カタックなど、幅広い分野の伴奏を受け持つ、貴重なプレーヤー。
Ghazalの巨匠、Ghulam Ali、 Hari Haranのツアーでも伴奏を務める。日本を始め海外でも演奏している。
誠実な人柄と、古典音楽への純粋な愛情がにじみ出る演奏は、多くの音楽愛好家を魅了してやまない。2008年に発売されたCD,「Reflections on Sageet」でタブラを担当している。

Born in West Bengal, India. He started learning vocal at the age of 4. When he was 8, Ud. Latafat Khan found his god-given talent. He won a scholarship to join SRA (Sangeet Research Academy)in Kolkata at the age of only 9.
After the sudden death of Ud. Latafat Khan, he took a guidance of Pt. Vijay Kichlu. He also took training of the Kirana Gharana from Arun Kumar Chatterjee. Today, he's one of those few vocalists who preserve the pure essence of the Agra gharana.
