@ Born in 1942, Perth, AUSTRALIA. Sibbritt began his studies of classical ballet under Norma Massara and continued, in advanced classes, with Kira Bousloff and Kathleen Gorham in Melborne.
@First professional engagement as ballet dancer was with Walter Gore's London Ballet company. Later danced in Paris with this company, he returned to London and jointed Norman McDowell and Jack Carter's London Dance Theater.
@He interpreted principal roles in the world premieres of ballet gPhaedrahby Janine Charrat, gThe Tempesthby Andree Howard, Jack Carter'sgStagionih, and Rudi Van Danzig's gJunglehetc.

@In the course of several international tours with Australian Ballet, he interpreted the principal roles in ballets by Robert Helpmann@-gYugenhgElectrahgHamlethand gThe Displayh- , in addition to ballets by Frederick Ashton@-gThe Dream hgLa Fille Mal Gardeeh- , and John Cranko's gPineapple Pollhand gThe Lady and The Foolh.
@He also interpreted the great 19th century classics, gRymondahgSwan LakehgThe Sleeping BeautyhgGisellehgLes Sylphideshand pas de deux from gLe CorsairehgDon Quixotehand gFlower Festival at Genzanohetc. While performing with Australian Ballet he studied for a time under renowned Russian ballet master Asef Messerer.

@ In the United States, Sibbritt interpreted roles of George Balanchine's gSerenadehgSymphony in ChgThe Four Temperamentsh, Antony Tudor's gThe Divine HorsemenhgThe Judgement of Parishand Jose Limon's gThe Moon's PavanehgExilesh, and premiered the North American production of Jack Carter's gThe Witch Boyh.

@Retiring from the stage, Gerard Sibbritt founded the Australian Choreocenter in Sydney and devised training programmes for the actor of the National Theater of the Deaf <Sydney>.

@He now resides in London and has worked as ballet master for several ballet companies in the world, including William Forsythe's Ballet Frankfurt, Colon Theatetr in Buenos Aires and Tokyo Ballet Theater Ballet in Japan etc.
