　 Born in 1942, Perth, AUSTRALIA. Sibbritt began his studies of classical ballet under Norma Massara and continued, in advanced classes, with Kira Bousloff and Kathleen Gorham in Melborne.
　First professional engagement as ballet dancer was with Walter Gore's London Ballet company. Later danced in Paris with this company, he returned to London and jointed Norman McDowell and Jack Carter's London Dance Theater.
　He interpreted principal roles in the world premieres of ballet “Phaedra”by Janine Charrat, “The Tempest”by Andree Howard, Jack Carter's“Stagioni”, and Rudi Van Danzig's “Jungle”etc.

　In the course of several international tours with Australian Ballet, he interpreted the principal roles in ballets by Robert Helpmann　-“Yugen”“Electra”“Hamlet”and “The Display”- , in addition to ballets by Frederick Ashton　-“The Dream ”“La Fille Mal Gardee”- , and John Cranko's “Pineapple Poll”and “The Lady and The Fool”.
　He also interpreted the great 19th century classics, “Rymonda”“Swan Lake”“The Sleeping Beauty”“Giselle”“Les Sylphides”and pas de deux from “Le Corsaire”“Don Quixote”and “Flower Festival at Genzano”etc. While performing with Australian Ballet he studied for a time under renowned Russian ballet master Asef Messerer.

　 In the United States, Sibbritt interpreted roles of George Balanchine's “Serenade”“Symphony in C”“The Four Temperaments”, Antony Tudor's “The Divine Horsemen”“The Judgement of Paris”and Jose Limon's “The Moon's Pavane”“Exiles”, and premiered the North American production of Jack Carter's “The Witch Boy”.

　Retiring from the stage, Gerard Sibbritt founded the Australian Choreocenter in Sydney and devised training programmes for the actor of the National Theater of the Deaf <Sydney>.

　He now resides in London and has worked as ballet master for several ballet companies in the world, including William Forsythe's Ballet Frankfurt, Colon Theatetr in Buenos Aires and Tokyo Ballet Theater Ballet in Japan etc.
