It may also have other problems including quality and backlog. Congress is Back: Challenges on the Legislative Front. New Leadership at the USPTO. Ariad, Tafas, and Bilski: How Important Court Cases. The patentable subject matter will be discussed based on several decisions in the US courts. SCOTUS statements in LabCorp. v. Metabolite and Microsoft v. AT&T will be discussed. In re Bilski may be referred to. Then, Classen Immunotherapies, Inc. v. Biogen IDEC is also discussed in order to grasp recent trends of the patentable subject matter based on the court decisions.
