In this chapter, I would like to introduce you to popular plants in
Japan.
They have quite a long history of cultivation and have been loved
by the Japanese until nowadays. Chrysanthemum, Japanese plum,
peony, tree peony and Japanese morning glory, were brought from
China in old times. However, the Japanese have loved those
plants and bred numerous cultivars, so I included them as
