97年当時、デジカメはまだ出始めたばかりで、鮮明で大きな画像が撮れませんでした。それ以上にインターネットの接続速度が極端に遅かったので、ウエブページを快適に見てもらうために、１ページあたりの容量を50KB以内に抑える必要がありました。今では信じられないことですが・・・
それ以前の写真もあることはあるのですが、学生の身分で高いフィルム代と現像費を捻出するのは大変でしたので、さして数は多くありません。
この写真は、現存する最も古い写真で、92年10月25日に天理市で撮影されたものです。
我々はこの前の週、愛知県豊橋市の前オーナーの元から下宿のある愛媛県松山市まで、最低限の整備だけで自走での引き取りを企てた挙句、名阪国道の長い上り坂で大端部メタルを溶かしてエンジンを壊してしまいました。
命からがら牽引して天理市の友人の実家のガレージに一旦避難させ、その次の週にまたバイクで出向いて、交換エンジンを持った前オーナーが豊橋から来るのを待っているときに撮影したものです。
多難の船出でしたが、まさかこんな長い付き合いになるとは・・・まあ、思っていましたけどね。
クーペ日記は2009年からブログ形式になりました。
