Due to the "custom npc update" posted on the Japanese site, you might experience CTD erros when entering specific user maps even if you are playing the English stable version. I'm currently making a fix for it and all the user maps uploaded after 5/22 will be deleted once the update is released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Apparently, there seem to be a save-data compatibility issue when updating your game to ver1.14fix3 or later. I'm really sorry that I couldn't find the bug sooner. I will release a fixed version this weekend. Until then, it is recommended for the safety of your save-data to play ver1.14fix2 or prior versions.

Elona 1.05b has been released. Thanks to everyone that helped me, many untranslated messages are translated now. The version includes many bug fixes and some new creatures/items. Also, I've released a mp3 pack for Elona which I forgot to put a link on the English official Elona site until now.

Apparently, there was a bug that crashs the game when doing sub-quests. I've replaced the file with fixed one but for those who don't want to download the whole file again, please download elona104fix.zip and replace the Exe file.

Large thanks to f1r3fly who has been translating the manual for English users, I have included the ranslated manual in the latest version of Elona. Yet a half of the manual is still left untranslated, it provides basic knowledge to those new to this game.

Elona1.04 has been released. Mainly bug fixes. Translated some text.

* Living weapons that gradually grows up.
* Prototypes of economics, politics, and a trading card game.

The english translation of Elona has started a month ago and
I'm wondering if someone can help me speed up the progress.

I've classified and arranged the files needed to be translated
into /data folder of the game folder so that you can pre-examine
the contents and test it in-game easily.

Translation doesn't have to be precise.
Simply running Japanese text through a machine translator and adjusting
them based on your feeling from playing the game will do.

I can't offer you much except my sincere gratitude but if you'd like
some comments or pictures included in credits, feel free to ask me.

Some people already have contacted me and I've lost track of them
due to long stagnant development of Elona. I'm sorry.
I appriciate it if you can E-mail me again.

/Detailed information about translating/

As said above, you don't have to make a faithful translation of the original.
If you think you can help me, please write in which file you're translating and E-mail me at rfish(at mark)mbg.nifty.com.
When E-mailing me, please put "Elona" somewhere in the title or else your message will be blocked.

Additionally, If you notice a mistake from some of text I've already translated (and I know there're tons of them), even if they're very small or strict matter, please let me know.

Note
1) While playing the game, errors may occur frequently. It's because of half-implemented codes for the English version of the game. They'll be fixed shortly but I didn't mess with them this time since this version is only released for testing the translation part of the game. If you notice certain text is causing an error, let me know.
2) Internet functions and main scenario are disabled in the English version at the moment.

/Translation Method/

1)Please download latest version of Elona and make sure the game works on your system.

2)Open \data folder in the game folder.
The files needed to be translated are listed below.

3)Edit the txt file and run the game to test it.

4)Send me the txt via E-mail ( rfish(at mark)mbg.nifty.com ) or the form-mail linked from the side-menu of this site. Alternatively, you can contact or send txt to me using the forum which is also linked from the side-menu.
When E-mailing me, please put "Elona" somewhere in the title or else your message will be blocked.
