Born in Mitaka City, Tokyo,
Ryo Kuzuhara stopped attending an elementary school,
while entering and leaving a hospital frequently due to heavy atopic asthma and dermatitis.
Ryo was assigned to attend the special F Class at the Junior High School due to victimization and brutal teasing.
Days spent to fishing and reading books.
Dissuaded from committing suicide affected by Hermann Hesse’s Demian and Steppenwolf,
Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Chiba Tetsuya’s Yuki no Taiyo (Yuki's Sun).
Quit a high school and joined the ATARASHIKI-MURA, a community called for by Saneatsu Mushanokoji,
and stared writing poems while engaging in agriculture.
Left the Atarashiki-Mura, but continued writing peoms, tanka and haikus,
while engaging in various part-time jobs at night.
Started poem reading at such spots as Samurai, a jazz bar ,
Aoyama Haiku Kojyo, Saien.
Awarded the Best Annual Contributions by the Sijin Kaigi.
Awarded the Shi to Sozo Encouragement Award.
Published the first collection of peoms, “Morning Work (Asa no waku).
Took part in the Kira, the drama reading performance, at the Yokohama Drama Festival.
Started haiku reading.
Joined Gekko, a tanka party, led by Yasuki Fukushima.
Selected a member of 181 poets for the collection of poems about atomic bomb, published by Coalsack Co., Ltd.
Performed live poet reading at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park on August 6,
and appeared in the NHK radio program.
Published the second collection of poems, the Place of Soul (Coalsack Co., Ltd.)
Nominated atop of applicants by Mr. H Award and accepted the Japan Poetry Club’s Rookie Award of the Year.
Started to perform the tanka works in the name of Akira Kosaka.
In December, invited to appear at the Kowaremono no Saiten
(the festivity for people with alcohol dependence, neurosis, depressive psychosis,
seclusion, cerebral palsy, attempted suicide, panic disorder, GID, etc.) called for by Tsukino Kouji.
The first collection of poets, the Morning Work,
received the Best Poetry Works of the Bungeisha VA Grand Prix for the year 2008,
and was reissued by Bungeisha. Accepted by the Shiratori Shogo Award.
Participated in the Tokyo Poetry Festival 2008 on December 1 in the name of Akira Kosaka,
with such performers as Kazuko Shiraishi, Muturo Takahashi, Shoichi Nejime, Yasuki Fukushima, Banya Natuishi.
Performed tanka reading at the Yasuki Fukushima’s Poet Screaming concert at the legendary Mandala at Kichijoji, Tokyo.
In April, formed the Musica Magica, the poetry reading
and music playing group; hence eight Musica Magica performances proved great success at Mandala, Kichijoji, Tokyo.
In August, the literary art magazine, Gekko, issued by Yasuki Fukushima, carried the Kuzuhara’s works as its opening works.
In September, jointed the Kochi Kukai, a haiku party led by Haruki Kadokawa.
Become the representative of the mass literary art magazine Musica, the first issue slated for August 2011.
Appeared at such performances led by Kouji Tsukino and the Aiko’s 5777 for the counters.
Ryo is a great-grandchild of Shigeru Kuzuhara, the writer of such children’s songs as Tonbi, Muramatsuri, Yuhi.
Ryo lives around Ueno, Yanaka and Sendagi, Tokyo. Works of poet, tanka, haiku, senryu and novels exceeded 10,000. |
