ENJOY FLOWERS!

I have studied hand-crafted flowers since 1985 and
wish to thank my splended teacher, Mrs Noma, for her support.
I have enjoyed this hobby tremendously and it has proven to be
an enormous source of joy and delight for me. Since bonsai is
a Japanese traditional art and has evolved as a unique style,
it is important to maintain its distinctive characteristics. Bonsai
brings natural beauty into the house in a small format. My career
in creating potted flowers goes back to the time I studied fresh
flower arrangment, a well-established art with unique forms and
styles. This led to my present art, into which I pour all my heart
and spirit. These works are based on inspiration and ideas. Each
work is precious to me and has taken a great deal of time and effort
to create. My deep love for flowers is manifest in every work. I
hope you are able to seize that beauty in your heart. I hope my
flowers enable you to gain some comfort in tough times today. All
of my bonsai are imitations of natural flowers and trees, they are used
as interior decorations to enjoy the atmosphere of Japanese seasons.

Looking back over the last year, my long-cherished dream of holding
a private exhibition finally came true in June, 2003. Then I was able to
experience my first cultural exchange in seven schools in Sicily, Italy for
three months from last October. After I came back to Japan, I had so
many things to do, since which I have spent some months rather lacking
in energy.Somewhat belatedly, I have finally changed some works and
updated my home page. This time, I am using lacquerware and bamboo
cylinders as containers for flower arrangements. As for the Bonsai
themselves, I have replaced some with once more suitable for the summer
season. I will never forget the many kindnesses I received from so many
people in Sicily. Some fotos taken at the schools are added at the end.
