Wdic-fpw is a Perl/FreePWING script to convert the Wired and Wireless Dictionary (WDIC) files into a JIS X 4081 formatted e-book. WDIC is one of the largest free encyclopedia in Japan compiled by the voluntary members, which covers mainly, but not limited to, networking and communictations terminologies.

Starting with version 1.3, wdic-fpw supports embedding the WDIC plug-in files (in JPEG, PNG and plain text formats) into the book along with the ordinary text contents. This requires, however, much more time and disk space for conversion. If you do not like to run a heavy-loading conversion process nor to download a large pre-converted package, you may order a CD-ROM that contains a converted book as well as the original dictionary files and some other materials.
