’72年の大ヒット曲「アローン・アゲイン」後、発表されたレアー音源集。米Pickwickから発売されA面5曲が収録された。デモを擬似ステレオ化した。デモなので音がかなり貧弱であるが、貴重な音源である。B面は、Gerry
Dorsey。
オサリバンは、MAN時代のプロデューサー・ゴードン・ミルズに出会う前に3枚のシングルを発表している。5.は、3枚目のシングル「Mr.Moody's
garden」のB面で、１ｓｔアルバムからヒット曲「Nothing Rhymed」の成功で71年にAB面逆で再レコーディングされた。日本では、「アローン・
アゲイン」発表後発売された。この曲は、オサリバン本人がベストに挙げており、今までに5回レコーディングしている。93年「Live In Japan」（4.も収録）、95年「Every Song Has It's Play」そして'97年、EUだけで発売されたCDSは、オサリバン、ゾンビーズのロッド・アージェントと後期スタックリッジに参加していたピーター・バン・フックがプロデュースしている。過去作品にこだわらないオサリバンだが、この曲の他、3.と4.は、ピアノとストリングをメインにレコーディングしたアルバム「The Little Album（EUではBy Lary）」でもレコーディングしている。

can I do/you,Mr.Moody's Garden/I wish I could cryの3枚である。このシングルは前出のとおり3枚目をAB面逆にしてリレコーディングしたもの。デモとほとんど構成は同じだが音質がアップしているしステレオであるので明らかに違いがわかる。

MANからEMIに76年移籍第1弾。この移籍によりゴードン・ミルズと対立。裁判沙汰に発展し、77年「Southpaw」まで、楽曲を発表できなかった。この時期にレコーディングした曲は日本盤「Rare Tracks」に収録され、「Off Center」で再レコーディングされている。結局のこの2曲だけが発表された。

ピアノとボーカルだけのアルバム構想をオサリバンは思いつき既にこのテーマーは、ランディー・ニューマンが発表していたので、効果的にオーケストラを加えて録音した。'85年に発表予定だったがお蔵いりしてしまった。'92年に、日本では、「The
Little Album」で発表され、後に本国イギリスでは「By Lary」のタイトルで発表された。これらのトラックは、「By Lary」のボーナス・トラックである。

オサリバンは、過去の作品をあまりリイシューしないが「I wish I could cry」ように愛着のある曲は、何度もリイシューするようだ。しかし、リイシューした年を明記するはこの曲が初めてである。

この曲は、4つのバージョンが存在するらしい。このバージョンは、アルバムバージョンに比べかなり派手にデコレーションしている。フランス盤「His
