"The woman diver of Boso Peninsula"
Since my parents' home is located in Chikura-town
of Chiba Prefecture, I often visit there
in summer every year.
Chikura is located at a peninsular tip. The
sunlight of summer is strong and a marine
color is very blue. It is the quiet sea following
the Pacific Ocean.
When I am looking at the sea vacantly, there
are white things which float in waves in
large numbers. It is the wooden bucket into
which the woman diver puts an abalone.
Furthermore, when it is looking in detail,
it can be seen that woman diver's legs floated
in reverse, and sink into the sea near the
bucket.
The 4 or 5 woman divers become a group, and
they are doing the abalone fishery here and
there.
I asked "please let me take your photograph"
of woman divers who carried abalones on the
back and came up from the sea.
These photographs were recorded in the past
2 or 3 years.
