Dec.０６１９９９		"What did you do on the weekend?""On the weekend, I read a book. The hero works a life insurance company." This is "Kuroi Ie." I asked "JOHN, do you not use crutch today?" He answered "Yes. No bruise." I said "That's good!" We learned "THAT"and "THOSE." ＫＩＹＯ asked JOHN a question "The distance．．． THIS and THAT．．． When change? ．．．Near, THIS. Far, THAT. MANNAKA NO BAAI HA?"with gesture. JOHN answered that we use "THIS" when we are close to it. I showed a message from my E-mail friend to my class's member. He wrote that English teachers has said Japanese are afraid to make mistakes. I showed it JOHN too. He read and asked me that do you think so? I answered yes. He said there is a lot of ways between right and wrong.

Dec．１３．１９９９		"What did you do on the weekend?""On the weekend, my husband and I went to my parent-in-law's home and presented Oseibo." JOHN didn't know Oseibo. He wrote the word on his notebook. He asked me what did you present them. I answered we presented coffee and fish. I didn't know the word can. I answered fish so JOHN said "Beef, Fish and Kentucky Fried Chicken worrys them in U.S.A." Ｉ heard people takes flowers or wines to their friend's home in U.S.A.. We learned "Singular"and "Plural."

Dec．２０１９９９		"What did you do on the weekend?""On Saturday, my husband and I opened a year end party with our drinking companions. I drank and drank. I felt bad. On Sunday, I slept all day." JOHN asked me "Hangover?" I answered "Yes." Today we learned "Offering." Mieko asked JOHN about the difference "Here, have some coffee"and "Would you like some coffee or tea?"JOHN wrote "Count v. Non-count nouns"and said that we can count cups but we cannot count coffee. Today is the last lesson of our class in this year. JOHN said "We will do a great test!" For 3 weeks we have no class. "Have a nice Chistmas holiday and a Happy New Year!"
