July 5 2000		Our new class started from April for 6 month. Today is half of the lesson. Mr.ROBIN KAYE is teaching us from last month. To my surprise his wife is "STUDIO RICE-TERRACE"'s owner. It was our Bali Dance exercise place! Today we learned to count things. It needs shopping. There are countable-things and uncountable things. And we made many sentence to ask the is/are thing/s in your store. Next we tryed listening tasks. We have to hear the quantities, beer, chicken,fish...many foods. It was interest me that English change. ROBIN said "When we wont to buy coffee, we said please a cup of coffee. But recently please 3 coffee, O.K. Both O.K." 5 years ago my husband and I went to the Puket Island. At the Phuket Airport waiting the plane, I bought a cup of coffee. I said please a a a a cup of cocococoffee..... at the stand. Is my English conversation power progress?

July 14 2000		On Sunday I watched a T.V. program "ARU ARU DAIJITEN". It was said Japanese could not hear the sound of high frequency. But we will become to listen English conversation if we can use our brain and ears to realize it. Today we did listening tasks to use shopping. The exercise were "listen and write the price" and "where does each conversation take place?". My question was to haer and answer "grapes $1.25/kiro". I said "grapes "$25/kilo". ROBIN said "that is too high..." I thought so and it is maybe Kyoho. Under $100, we not have to say "one doller and twentyfive cents" but " one-twentyfive dollers". ROBIN's talk is comfort to my ears. Today ROBIN slowed his talk and used easy English. So I could realize the lesson. Thanks ROBIN.

July 19 2000		Today we did social talking-shopping and to ask "what are you going to do?" We talked adout tip. We don't know who, when, how much we have to give tip to a person. I often forgot to give tip when I went abroad. Last year my husband and I chose Club Med Bali because we don't have to give tip. I have a toothache. To speak English, I have a throbbing pain in my wisdom thooth.

July 26 2000		I can't listen English conversation well... When we listen the tape, I'm waiting to be heard words what I know. Today, I couldn't listen what ROBIN said. He said "I will take a copy about prepositions next week if I don't forget."but my brain and ears listened "I will take a coffee..." He repeated the sentence. So I realized my mistake! At the last of today's lesson, ROBIN said "listening...?" KEIJI answered "difficult!!" ROBIN advised us to have to listen an easy listening tape if only 15 minutes a day. Yes, I will listen the tape and watch the TV.
