After the class, we had a lunch
together. The restaurant menu was written by Japanese. So
we translated the menu into English. YURIKO said to ROBIN
"lunch A is TAI ... fish and shrimp...but,
is shrimp small EBI?" I said "lunch A
is seafood." ROBIN corrected me for my error. He
said " seafood is different to fish. Seafood are
shrimp, hotate,.. not fish." I didn't know that. He told us what was happened to him on last sunday. In a restaurant, he ordered a tuna sandwich, but the waitress could not hear it and said "wakarimasen." So he said "tsuna sando-icchi". We said listening is difficult for us. He said "gaijin who can speak Japanese are studying about 2-3 hour in a day, at least. Gaijin who can read and write Japanese are more study." Everyone make effort. I have to practice listening. After I came back my home, I resarched TAI and EBI in English. TAI is sea bream. Big shrimp is prawn. |

Today was last lesson in this year. I realized that I confuse 7 with 6. When someone says seven, I usually think "what number?" One of the today's listening task to hear "seventy five hundred dollers" , I could not understand how much it was. So I wrote "$2500" on my notebook .I am confusing 7, 6 and 2. If I will go to U.S.A and have to go shopping, I will buy nothing. |
