Today we studyed how to ask one's opinion. ROBIN said "in America people like to ask one's impression but Japanese people not like that. " I think I'm typical Japanese! But my mouth is so light that I often fail.
Last month ROBIN said "I'm glad you change the seat. That's good." So we change our seat every week. Today's special seat was KEIKO. KUNIKO had a cold, so she absented. Recently many people have a cold. Are you all right?

I left to do my homework. Last week ROBIN gave us homework. It was to make two short sentences. One is positive sentence. Another is negative sentence. It was to say my emotion. I did my homework at the classroom. "I ate delicious cake last night." "I have a sore back." These are sentences I made.
In the textbook, a man bringing a red rose is pictured. He was quaking at his hand. His emotion is sorry. "Do you know why does he sorry?" ROBIN asked us but no one could answer it. "In America, if husband and his wife had an argument, he buy a flower next day. And he is sorry." he said. I said "my husband never did it." All member in our class were laugh.

Today we continued to study about emotions.
We studyed about tense. ROBIN said "English have tense verbs. But Japanese tense verbs, present and future are same. So Japanese tense is not difficult. But Japanese counting is difficult. HITOTSU, ICHIMAI, NI-KAI...NIHONGO,SUGOIDESUNE." I didn't feel so. I think English is more difficult than Japanese.
And today, we heard an interesting topic. Our teacher's name, ROBIN, is male's name in England but in Canada it is using male and female.

The tenses are difficult for us. In the textbook there is a conversation "where are you off to?/I'm going home. I've got to study." KATSUKO asked to ROBIN why don't he say I'll study at home? He answered "he was asked where are you going. So he answered I'm going home. Got is past tense and study is present tense. The meaning is same but verb tenses are different. English have 12 tenses, but Japanese have not many tenses. Were you study grammar in junior high school? I'm not grammar teacher so I don't teach grammar in this class." I left that our class is English conversation course! We don't have to study grammar. It is good enough for us to enjoy English conversaton.

I watched "Flowers for Algernon" on WOWOW. Today WOWOW was non-scramble day so I could watch this program. How lucky I am!!
I read this story in Japanese. And I watched it played Japanese in a theather. I knew the story so I tryed not to watch serifu superposed the cinema. I haded the bottom of the T.V.screen by paper.
I could listen serifu only 10%. But I was happy I could the sentence "carm down". It was studyed last week.
