Prevention from Modern Disease

What reminds you of to be asked about modern diseases? Obesity, diabetes, stomach ulser, heart attack, stroke, or allergic diseases may come up in your mind. All these diseases except for the last one are also called 'habitual diseases', because they could be prevented if your daily life were well controlled.

What makes you most fearful in spring may be hay fever. Buds of trees and blossoms of flowers are growing and opening. Spring has made us somehow fresh and active. But in this modern society there are some who have a dire hatred against this season. Because they have to suffer from pollinosis causes by ceders pollen in particular.

We have hardly heard about such a disease at least 50 years before. After World War 2, the trees in the forests were cut down so disorderedly to boost the economy that ceders which are fast to grow were planted here and there in the forests. As a result, too much pollen is to be scattered in the air in this season.

To make matters worse, if the pollen reacts to some chemicals which have already been taken in the body, such disease will be included. Of course, everyone doesn't suffer from this disease, but it is a fact that the number of the patients is increasing. How could we keep from it?

Now in America, it is said one out of ten people is suffering from a certain chemical hypersensitiveness, which is not exaggerated at all.

There exist about 16 million species of chemicals in the world. Chemical hypersensitiveness is caused by some involved in detergents, paints, medicines, pesticides, emitted gas from cars and factories, and so forth. Of course a new chemical is detected about the harmfulness to the human body, but some researcher say it is impossible to examine how each chemical would respond each other in the body, because at least 500 species of chemicals are following in the veins of human body on average.

Human body is cerated so elaborately, and especially liver has an ablity to make some poisonous material harmless, whose ability has been evolved in the human history of 5000 years. Also we can take them out by sweating and metabolism.

But there is a limit. Just like a phenomenon of water flowing over a glass, the ability cannot be endurable in case too much chemicals are taken and then some diseases are caused.

Chemicals have been very beneficial to prevent plague and infectious diseases, to increase food production, and to develop technology. But how ironical it is that we have to suffer from other problems in return!

Question 1: Are you suffering from any allergic diseases ?

Question 2: How do you pay attention to prevent from too much chemicals around you ?

Question 3: Which do you prefer, to enjoy yourself now or to endure for the next generations ?

Question 4: Anything about this topic
