    What is a volunteer? Volunteerism?

    1. Acts spontaneously and autonomously. No one forces the activity.
    2. Volunteer activity is performed for the purpose of making a contribution to another person , a group, a society, or people from another country.
    3. There is no monetary reward for a volunteer's activity.
    4. The volunteer performs the act selflessly. Problems in Japan.
    5. Volunteers possess equal status regardless of age or sex.
