きっかけは私のこの写真のホームページへの公開でした。この写真を見たShattuck氏からメールを頂きました。
「今年の５月に成田空港へ進入中のボーイング７２７−２８２・Ｎ７２７ＲＥの写真を投稿していました。実のところ、私はこの機体の
「マトリックス・リローデッド」のプレミア・ツアーの間機長を勤めていました。そしてキアヌ・リーブス、ヒューゴ・ウィービング、ジャダ・ビンケット・スミスやその他大勢の出演者たち（そしてワーナー・ブラザースの重役達）が搭乗していました。」
A start, I published this photo on my homepages. When Mr,Shattuck showed
it, he sent me e-mail.
'You recently posted a photo of N727RE (B727-282) during an approach to Narita in May of this year. In point of fact, I was the Captain on that aircraft (throughout
the Matrix Reloaded Worldwide Premier Tour) and Keanu Reeves, Hugo Weaving, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and many of the other cast members (and Warner Brothers executives) were aboard.'
この写真を会社の「飛行機の壁」の一枚として加えたいとの申し出がありました。
And he requested to me using this photo.
'I was wondering if you would be so kind as to send me a 8 x 10 copy of
that photo (evidently, it is the only airborne shot of the aircraft on
the tour). It would make a fine addition to the aviation "wall"
in my office. '
もしよろしければ、この機体の機密扱いの内装の写真を喜んで送っていただけるとのお話です。
'If you like, and you provide your e-mail address, I would be happy to
send you a "restricted" distribution interior shot of the aircraft
that you are welcome to post on airliners.net, or your web site.'

この機体の成田空港到着の様子を思い出して、彼に質問してみました。
「Ｎ７２７ＲＥが成田空港に着陸進入中に、Ａ滑走路への着陸を要求しませんでしたか？通常成田空港でのボーイング７２７はＢ滑走路を使います。それだから私達はＢ滑走路脇で待っていました。貴方の要求が判明してから、私達はＡ滑走路へ車で急いで移動しました。しかし私は良い選択だったと思います。多くの搭乗者は確かに成田に着いたと感じることができて幸せだったでしょう。なぜならＡ滑走路は大きな空港ビルや大型機で飾られているからです。」
I asked a question for him, I remembered that situation when it arrived
at Narita.
'When N727RE approaching to Narita, did you request to landing for runway
34 left (it means A-runway)? Usually Boeing 727 uses 34 right ( it means
B-runway). So we ware waiting beside B-runway. After catching your request,
we got a move on cars for A-runway. But I thought it was good choice, many
guests might be happy that they felt certainly arriving at Narita. Because
A-runway is dressed up by big buildings and widebody jets.'
「成田空港到着時の３４レフトと３４ライトの質問にお答えします。質問にあったこの日、私達（乗務員と「
マトリックス・リローデッド」の出演者／演出家、ワーナー・ブラザースの重役達）はロンドン・スタンステッド空港を出発し、ビシケク
(キルギス(Kyrgyz)の首都）に給油の為停止しました。私達はおよそ２３時間も起きていたと思います。そして私が３４レフトを要求した本当の理由は、駐機場に近接しているということです。成田空港の経路図によれば、あなた方が待っていた３４ライトからは大変な距離があります。私は管制に率直に聞きました。そして彼らはそれを確認しました。その後私の要求は承諾され、あなたのすばらしい写真を撮った場所へと向かいました。
'To answer your question about 34L and 34R at Narita. On the day in question,
we (flight crew and Matrix Reloaded cast/producer, Warner Brothers executives,
etc.) started in London (Stansted) and made a technical stop for
fuel in Bishkek. I think we had all be awake for about 23 hours and the
real reason I requested 34L was the close proximity to the parking area.
According to the airport taxi chart, it is a much greater distance to taxi
from 34R. As you are aware, I simply asked ATC if the runway was available
and they confirmed it was. The request was subsequently granted and that's
where you got your wonderful photo.'

この機体の概要です。
「Ｎ７２７ＲＥは３つのJT8D-17Aエンジンを持つボーイング７２７−２８２型です。
現在の構成は長椅子や寝椅子を含めて３３人分の座席配置です。完全に仕切られた３つの特別室があり、うちひとつは準特大のベットを持つ主人のものです。シャワーは８０ガロンのタンクを持っています。この飛行機の炊事室にはオーブン、電子レンジ、水濾過機、冷蔵庫そしてごみ圧縮機があります。この飛行機には長距離用燃料タンクが用意され、３，３００ナノマイル近くも無給油にしてくれる、おおよそ７２，０００ポンドの燃料を積むことができます。７２７にしては悪くないでしょう。」
'For your information, N727RE is a Boeing 727-282 aircraft and is powered
by three JT8D-17A engines. The current configuration is 33 passenger seats
(including couches, settees, etc.) We have three staterooms on board (one
is a full-time "master" stateroom with Queen size bed) and a
fully enclosed, stand-up shower having its own 80 gallon water tank. The
aircraft also has a full galley with oven, microwave, water filtration
system, refrigerator and trash compactor. We have had long-range fuel tanks
installed and the airplane will carries approximately 72,000 pounds of
fuel which gives us an unrefueled range of nearly 3,300 nm. Not bad for
a 727!'
