Saturn will shortly passes the western quadrature on Dec. 1, and it appears in the east sky after midnight. This month, we have received observations listed below.

A minor activity was reported this month. In Vandebergh's red image on Nov. 7, SEB was a little disturbed around III:310 deg. His emphasized image showed thick n. component and wavy shading in SEBZ, and also SEBs had slight distortions and shadings. It seemed that this feature had already been formed by early November, because thick SEBn and SEBZ shadings were seen in images by Ikemura and Kazemoto on Nov. 2. We have no image of the region under discussion for a while after Nov. 7, and above feature could not be traced in Akutsu's image on Nov. 25. This activity may be short-lived.
Hirabayashi and Takimoto pointed out the change of color occurred in high southern latitude, that is, as described in last report, SPR was dusky with deep green color surrounded by broad strongly reddish SSTZ. Since two regions had similar colors until May 2006, it seems that this color change took place during solar conjunction between June and September. SSTZ had been strongly reddish in 2004-05 Apparition, so this change may be a part of periodic activity.
