Saturn passed western quadrature, and came to appear in the east sky before midnight. But observers do not take notice of Saturn so much, due to Mars approaching to the Earth now. This month, we received observations listed below.
| Observer | Location | Telescope | Images/Drawings | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Einaga, Hideo | (Hyogo, Japan) | 30cm Refl. | 1 | image |
| Hayashi, Toshio | (Kyoto, Japan) | 35cm SCT | 1 | image |
| Ikemura, Toshihiko | (Nagoya, Japan) | 38cm Refl. | 5 | images |
| Kazemoto, Akira | (Kyoto, Japan) | 31cm Refl. | 1 | image |
| Yoneyama, Seiichi | (Yokohama, Japan) | 20cm Refl. | 1 | image |
Einaga and Ikemura got good images on Dec. 26, as it was good seeing. Einaga indicated that tone of Saturnian surface differed delicately for each latitude, and the same trend was suggested in Ikemura's image.
By the way, the author described reddish belt, which was at immediately north of the ring, as NTB in the last report. But careful examination of images strongly indicates that it should be NEB.
